All around the country brides and grooms are getting creative with improvised weddings. We have seen small, intimate weddings happening in gardens, on beaches and in living rooms. If your wedding has been effected by COVID why not give 'The Improvised Wedding' a go? Here's some of our favourite ideas...

The Garden Party

There's something amorous about an outdoor wedding: from a romantic botanical garden to the warm familiarity of your own backyard.

Marquees can be set up anywhere from pavement to grass but just don’t forget to weatherproof it especially if it is a warm balmy day, you may need some extra air conditioning!

Drape fabric from the marque ceiling to soften the space or to create sectioned off "rooms." Coloured linens, vibrant up-lighting and quirky knick- knacks set a one-of-a-kind vibe and enhance your wedding's unique design.

A lacy statement dress is perfect for any outdoor wedding to complement the romantic ambience and bring the wow factor to any outdoor aisle.

The Beach Day

For shore-loving couples, there's nothing more romantic than the sounds of the sea, the sand between your toes and the salt-tinged air as you say your vows.

Choose a location based on your wedding style, if you live near a beach, you might already have a favourite spot in mind where you would regularly have those Sunday strolls.

Consider choosing décor elements that complement your seaside setting; seashells, starfish, nautical ropes, anchors, lanterns and driftwood are all pretty and on-theme touches.

Unsure of what style of dress to wear? We recommend a dress made from a lightweight fabric—anything else and you'll feel weighed down especially when strolling in the sand.

The Park Wedding

If you are an outdoorsy couple, look to getting married in the park- because nothing beats a natural setting with unspoilt surroundings.

Since your celebration is being held somewhere with natural beauty, you don't need to do too much to dress it up. Skip any fussy and unnatural looking decorations and instead opt for twinkling fairy lights around the area and tealight candles and bud vases down the tables.

When it comes to the dress, opt for something simple and chic, something which is light and ethereal instead of heavy or grand to complement your earthy surroundings.

Also make sure you have the hemline slightly raised as this will prevent your dress from dragging in the grass.
